Dr. Kenneth Stairs
Dr. Kenneth Stairs is a proud member of Okotoks Family Dental, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to patient care. Born and raised in Calgary, Dr. Stairs is excited to establish his roots in the town of Okotoks after previously serving a small community in Saskatchewan. With a strong belief in relationship-based practice, he aims to create lasting bonds with his patients and the community. A former competitive swimmer, Dr. Stairs represented Canada and Alberta in numerous competitions, including the Canadian Olympic trials. He pursued both his athletic and academic passions at the University of Toronto, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience while earning national recognition with the varsity swim team. Dr. Stairs graduated with Distinction from the University of Sydney's Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program. Throughout his studies, he pursued additional education in Oral Surgery, Cosmetic Dentistry, and minimally invasive dentistry. His ongoing commitment to professional development includes advanced courses in Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. What Dr. Stairs values most about his profession are the meaningful relationships he forms with his patients and the positive impact on their overall health. He cherishes the lifelong connections built through dentistry and feels honoured to be part of his patients' healthcare journey. Dr. Scott Townsend
Dr. Scott Townsend was raised in the close-knit farming community of Claresholm, Alberta. During his high school years, Scott was an avid hockey player, showcasing his talents in the Western Hockey League. He played various positions, including centre, wing, and defence, for teams such as the Spokane Chiefs, Medicine Hat Tigers, and Lethbridge Hurricanes. His time as a hockey player instilled in him a strong sense of teamwork and dedication. After his hockey career, Dr. Townsend pursued higher education at the University of Calgary, focusing on Biology and Sciences. He then attended the University of Alberta Dental School, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. With 19 years of experience as a practicing dentist in Calgary. Dr. Townsend is an honourable member of the Alberta Dental Association and College and the Canadian Dental Association. His membership in these organizations reflects his commitment to staying current with the latest advancements in dental care. Dr. Townsend offers a wide range of general dental services, with a specific interest in wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, periodontal treatments, and gum surgery. If you need wisdom teeth removed or are considering tooth replacement options, Dr. Townsend can offer the most suitable treatment options. He is also skilled in providing IV sedation for patients who experience anxiety or nervousness about dental procedures.

Dr. Scott Gallup
Dr. Gallup started his practice in Okotoks in 1997. He felt that Okotoks would be an ideal location to raise a family and that the growing town needed his services. He has enjoyed the warmth and friendliness of the residents of Okotoks. It has been a wonderful place to raise his family of four children. Dr. Gallup graduated from the University of Alberta with First Class Honors and received the Prosthodontic Award for his graduating year. He has additional training in Endodontics (root canal therapy) and Orthodontics (braces). Dr. Gallup continually upgrades his skills and learns new techniques through his constant continuing education. He has appreciated your support by recognizing him as the "Best Dentist" in the Foothills over the years. As a former University of Calgary basketball player, Dr. Gallup has committed to giving back to the community by volunteering as a basketball coach over the years with the Okotoks Junior High School, the Okotoks Minor Basketball Association and Foothills Falcons Basketball. He has also been involved with the youth of our community as a leader in Scouting for over a decade. Dr. Gallup enjoys the outdoors and is a sports enthusiast. As such he has been a long term sponsor of the Sheep River Road Race, the Okotoks Natural High Triathlon, Okotoks Stingrays Swim Club, Okotoks Figure Skating Club, and the local athletic teams at the schools in Okotoks. Dr. Gallup is the Official Dentist for the Okotoks Oilers Hockey Club. Not limiting support to athletics, Dr. Gallup is also a long term supporter of the High River and District Lions Music Festival to foster the growth of the arts in the area. With a track record of excellence Dr. Gallup's dental office provides individual care and attention to each client ensuring that their personal dental needs are met in a comfortable friendly way.

Gwen
Gwen was born and raised in Saskatoon and graduated from the Dental Assisting Program in 2001. She moved to Okotoks with her family in 2006 and has been working at our office since January 2007. She has two boys, Carson and Ryan. She enjoys watching them play hockey, going camping and spending time with family and friends.

Martina
Martina, originally from Brisbane, Australia, moved to Canada in 1999. She began her dental career in an orthodontist's office and joined Dr. Gallup's Okotoks team in 2009. With a strong background in administration and finance, she has excelled in her current role. Martina is a proud mother of four children: Dylan, Devon, Dakota, and Denver. She enjoys scrapbooking, traveling, and spending quality time with loved ones.
DENTAL HYGIENIST
Karen
Karen, born in Ireland and raised in Fernie, BC, practiced as a Registered Dental Assistant for 13 years before earning her Dental Hygiene degree in Vancouver in 2004. A resident of Okotoks since 2007, she joined our office as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2008. Karen and her husband have two boys, Eric and Ryan, and enjoy staying busy with hockey, camping at Koocanusa, and spending time with family and friends.
DENTAL HYGIENIST
Inna
Inna has been a Dental Hygienist since 2007, after graduating from Texas State Technical College. She enjoys helping her patients achieve and maintain healthy mouths. Inna regularly attends continuing education courses to stay updated on periodontal issues and the latest treatments. In her free time, she loves spending time with her energetic daughter, skiing, traveling, exercising, and practicing yoga.

Michelle has been with us since 2009 and brings a wealth of experience as a Dental Hygienist since 1994. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Her hobbies include watching her kids' sports, walking, biking, and traveling.
